Itinerary: Abu Simbel-Aswan, 4 Days
Day 1: Arrival at Abu Simbel
Embark on a journey onboard Kasr Ibrim at the Abu Simbel port. Enjoy the amenities of the ship as well as your first lunch. Start your tour sightseeing at the Temples of Abu Simbel. These are gigantic temples built by Ramses II for his favorite wife Nefartari. An optional Sounds and Lights Show is available but tickets are not included. Have your dinner and spend the night on the cruiser.
Day 2: Kasr Ibrim & Amada
While having your breakfast, the ship continues to sail to Kasr Ibrim. From the ship’s sundeck, a tour of Citadel of Kasr Ibrim will be conducted since entry to the site it self is not allowed. This is the only temple during its time that has not been relocated and still exists in its original site. Back on board, lunch will be served and cruise down to Amada. Visit the Temple of Amada, built in the 18 century to honor god Amun and re. Then enjoy the Temple of Derr that is equally stunning and the Tomb of Penout who was the Viceroy of Nubia. Take time to enjoy the ship while it continues to sail to Wadi El Seboua. Have your dinner and spend the night on the cruise ship.
Day 3: Wadi El Seboua
By morning, you will be sailing along the harbor of Wadi El Sebuoa. Have your breakfast and visit the Temples of Dakka and Meharakka with their intricate architectural designs. On board lunch will be served and spend the rest of the day enjoying the waters of Lake Nasser. Enjoy a tasteful dinner while cruising down to Aswan and have a sound sleep on board.
Day 4: Aswan Sightseeing
On the final day, breakfast will be served then you will disembark the cruise ship to enjoy the last stop. Visit the great structures that have been relocated to be preserved, the Temple of Kalabsha, Beit El Wali and the tiny Roman Kiosk of Kertassi.
Itinerary: Aswan-Abu Simbel, 5 Days
Day 1: Arrive Aswan
Our guide will be waiting for you at the train station or Aswan Airport. Via air-conditioned car you will be taken to the harbor to board M/S Kasr Ibrim. Enjoy a great lunch onboard and prepare to visit the Kalabsha Temple. This temple was built as a tribute to Mandulis, a lower Nubian Sun God. You will also enjoy other relocated attractions nearby, the Beit El Wali which is built by Ramesses II and then the tiny Roman Kiosk of Kertassi. Spend the afternoon with a cup of tea served at the lounge while taking time to appreciate the beauty of M/S Kasr Ibrim. Dinner will be served and spend the night on board.
Day 2: Wadi El Seboua
Wadi El Sebuoa is the ship’s next stop. Have your morning meal and enjoy some refreshments while passing along the famous Tropic of Cancer. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch and spend the rest of your day in the cruise ship while gazing upon the nice scenery of the banks of Lake Nasser. Dinner and spend the night on board while cruising down Wadi El Seboua.
Day 3: Wadi El Seboua to Amada
Wake up with a breakfast and a beautiful sunrise and prepare to visit Wadi El Seboua. Enjoy the Temples of Dakka and Meharakka. These are ancient temples that could have been destroyed if not relocated when the Aswan Dam was constructed. Back on board and have a nice lunch meal. Continue sailing down to Amada. Then visit temples of Amada and of Derr, and the tomb of Penout. End the day with a tasty dinner and sleep on board in the calm waters of Lake Nasser.
Day 4: Kasr Ibrim to Abu Simbel
The ship will continue to sail until it reaches Kasr Ibrim. Have your breakfast and be ready to view from the sun deck of The Citadel of Kasr Ibrim. Access is not permitted in the citadel for security reasons. It is the only fortress still standing in its original site. By noon time you will reach the waters of Abu Simbel, have your lunch and take time to visit the gigantic structures of Abu Simbel Temples. Finish your final day on the cruise with a dramatic candle light dinner and spend the night on board in the harbor of Abu Simbel.
Day 5: Departure
Feast on your final morning meal on board and prepare for disembarkation.
