Known in ancient times as Ipet-isut (“the most sacred of places”), this vast complex was constructed over more than two thousand years by generations of pharaohs. Inside, explore the breathtaking Hypostyle Hall, a stunning forest of towering pillars.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor before heading to the West Bank of the Nile.
Continue your exploration with a visit to the impressive Colossi of Memnon, the two massive statues of Amenhotep III. Then proceed to the legendary Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of ancient pharaohs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife. You will visit three of these remarkable tombs.
