Day 01:Arrival - Cairo Tour 

Your Ramasside Tours guide and manager will be waiting at Postsaid Port for you. They will be holding  a sign showing your name. You do not need to look for them - they will be waiting for you and will find you.

From the moment your tour starts, your guides will give you full attention. Once in the car, your guide will talk to you about all the things on the way as well as other aspects of your tour that will interest you.

Travel to the Great Pyramids one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, enjoy a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Visit The Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple &  many outstanding photo stops. Move on to visit the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities that includes King Tutankhamen’s treasures.

Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.

Then step into the fascinating world of ancient Egyptian papyrus at the local Papyrus factory. Here, you’ll witness the age-old craftsmanship that birthed the very first paper in history, a legacy preserved through the ages. Marvel at the intricate process of papyrus production and even have the opportunity to see hieroglyphs meticulously inscribed upon it, a tradition that endures to this very day. Have chance Engaging with the knowledgeable locals who have inherited these time-honoured crafts.

From there, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 02:Cairo Tour-Back To Port

 Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit it’s open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Ptolemy built the original library and he now proudly stands outside the library overseeing the new library. You can then also see the free museums/collections such as The Saddat Museum and the ancient and modern art collections on display.

Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.

The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa, after which you will visit the old downtown of Alexandria where you can walk through the old city-center of Alexandria. Look at the traditional markets; where everything and anything is sold including traditional Egyptian sweets and treats. The architecture locally has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties.

You will have lunch at the modern Fish market restaurant or at the traditional restaurant called Mohamed Ahmed’s. The Queen of Spain and many famous people go there when they visit Alexandria.

Optional: Should you wish you can then take a break in either a good quality coffee and cake shop or stop at a shisha cafe where you can get traditional mint tea and smoke shisha before the next part of your day.

Continue your tour by passing through the oldest market area in Mansheya and see the traditional womens’ markets (zan’et etsetat) with very thin and narrow streets where everything for household, beauty and crafts can be seen. The most spectacular gold market also exists here where everyone buys their wedding and engagement jewellery. The car will then take you to visit the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque(Photo Stop), and the strangest sight outside it: an old funfair where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss. Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.

On your way back you will pass by the famous bridge of Stanley – the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, Finally, you will be escorted back to Port said or Alexandria Port
