On the first day, your journey will begin with a visit to El Alamein, the historic battlefield of World War II. Then, you will head to the beautiful Marsa Matrouh Bay for a Mediterranean lunch before continuing to Siwa. Upon arrival, you will explore the old city of Shali and enjoy a Bedouin dinner. Overnight at Siwa Paradise Hotel or a similar accommodation.

On the second day, visit the Mountain of the Dead, the Temple of Alexander the Great, and Cleopatra’s Springs before embarking on a jeep excursion. Then, return to Alexandria.

Tour Details

Day 1: Alamein and Ancient City of Siwa

Your Ramasside guide will be waiting for you. He will be holding a sign with the Ramasside logo. You do not need to look for him - he will be waiting for you and will find you.

Once your journey begins, your guide will be completely focused on you. In the car, he will inform you about everything you will encounter along the way and introduce you to other aspects of the route that may interest you. Start your journey by heading to Alamein to visit the site of one of the main battles of World War II. Then, continue to the picturesque Marsa Matrouh Bay, where you can have lunch by the Mediterranean Sea, before heading to Siwa. The journey from Alamein to Siwa takes approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, you will visit the ancient city of Siwa (Shaly) and enjoy dinner according to Bedouin traditions. Overnight at Paradise Siwa Hotel (or similar).

Day 2: Mountain of the Dead, Temple of Alexander the Great and 4x4 Safari

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Mountain of the Dead (Gabel El Mouta), where you can see tombs such as SI Amon, MSW Isis, and the Crocodile Tomb, followed by a visit to Gara Cave, which is a natural cave formed by rain and erosion of Miocene limestone (approximately 55 million years ago). Judging from the artifacts and cave paintings in the cave, prehistoric people may have inhabited this area during the Late Neolithic period.

Visit the Temple of Alexander the Great, Cleopatra’s Springs, have lunch, and then depart for a 4x4 safari before returning to Alexandria.

Alexandria Tour:

Please note that the Library of Alexandria is closed on Fridays and official holidays. An additional ticket is required to enter the reading room.

- 2 - 11.99 years – 50% of the tour price

- Over 12 years – full charge as adults

If the tour includes flights, there may be an additional charge for the child.
